Description:

Our water cooler test rig is specially designed to make the students understand the various concepts of refrigeration cycle involved in a water cooler. The test rig also specifies on fault finding capabilities of a student by way of inducing pre defined faults through various switches on the control panel. The training test rig elaborates the flow of heat and the time taken to complete a refrigeration cycle to calculate the efficiency of the system.

Scope of Study:

TECHNICAL DETAILS:

• Cooling tower, fabricated of M.S. sheets, 200 X 200 mm. cross Section, 1.2m height with Perspex front
• Wire mesh packing is Provided in the tower
• Water Heater - 3 Kw capacity to provide hot water
• Centrifugal blower 1 HP to force air through tower
• Multichannel Digital Temperature Indicator to measure temperature at various points
• Rotameter to measure inlet water flow
• Measuring tank to measure outlet water flow
• Calibrated orifice and water manometer to measure air flow
• Arrangement to measure temperatures of water at five intermediate stations along the height of tower

Components mounted on the control panel are:

Standard make On/Off Switches/Starter, Mains Indicator etc. Tanks will be made of Stainless Steel.
