Description:

This lab experimentation set-up is an arrangement of a pipe line fitted with one Venturimeter. Basically a Venturimeter is the most widely used device to measure the discharge through the pipe and in our apparatus it is made from transparent Acrylic. Pressure tapings on the Venturimeter are connected to differential manometer to measure pressure difference. A flow control valve is provided on the downstream of the Venturimeter so as to regulate the flow of water using this valve.

The latest apparatus is a self-reliant water re-circulating unit, provided with a sump tank and a centrifugal pump etc. Flow in the water line is adjusted by Flow control valve and by-pass valve to conduct the experiment on different flow rates. Flow rate of water is measured with the help of markings provided on the measuring tank and stop watch.
